Garden Oaks used to be one of Houston’s best-kept secrets. However, in 2010, the Houston Press published an article where it stated that Garden Oaks “used to be an underrated neighborhood but now is on everyone’s radar.” Conveniently located “close to everything”, as neighbors put it, Garden Oaks is just outside loop 610 and 15 minutes from Downtown and 10 minutes from the Galleria. Comprised of 1400 homes, this neighborhood continues to gain attention because of its location, oversized lots, tree-lined winding streets and cozy neighborhood feel.
Some of the many neighborhood groups and activities include: GO Kids which includes GO Moms, Garden Club, Wine Walk, GOMO, 4th of July Parade, Movie Nights in the park, Santa In the Park, Family Picnics, Easter Egg Hunt.
